This week’s must-see Toronto shows

Quicksand

The 90s rock revival shows no signs of slowing down. Pioneers of post-hardcore (back then we just called it alt-metal), Quicksand have reformed (again) and seem to be enjoying their second comeback attempt much more than their ill-fated previous reunion. No word on whether there are any new recordings in the works, but you probably just want to hear the classics anyway. Wednesday (January 9) at the Phoenix (410 Sherbourne), 8 pm. $29. RT, SS, TM.
