This week’s must-see Toronto shows

Ty Segall

It was only a few years ago that San Francisco fuzz pop star Ty Segall was playing small venues like Parts & Labour and churning out 7-inch singles on obscure labels at an insane pace. He’s still releasing an absurd quantity of music (three full-length albums last year alone), but he’s no longer the secret treasure of the garage punk scene and has graduated to playing big venues and gracing the covers of magazines like Spin. Wednesday (February 6), 8 pm, at the Phoenix (410 Sherbourne). $16.50. RT, SS, TW.
