This week’s must-see Toronto shows

Stars

Stars have never been known as the most fashionable indie rock band in the country, but that’s not looking like much of a handicap 13 years and seven albums into their successful career. Listening to 2012’s The North, you can easily see how Stars have sustained themselves and grown while many of their contemporaries burned out and faded away: turns out that strong hooks and musicianship still mean more than blog buzz after all.

Wednesday and Thursday (March 20 and 21), 7 pm, Danforth Music Hall (147 Danforth). $29.50 for one night, $50 two-day ticket, limited CMF wristbands accepted. LN, cmw.net.
