TEEN
Wednesday (June 5), doors 8:30 pm, Horseshoe (370 Queen West). $15. HS, RT, SS, TF.
They may be Brooklyn-based, but TEEN have a strong Canadian connection: three members, sisters Teeny, Katherine and Lizzy Lieberson, are from Halifax. Don’t let their band name fool you – this is grown-up, eccentrically layered pop with 80s flair. The foursome (rounded out by Jane Herships from New Jersey) tour their new Kickstarter-funded EP, Carolina, across North America with Fiery Furnaces’ Eleanor Friedberger, whose second solo album, Personal Record, drops June 4.
