This week’s must-see Toronto shows

The Grove Music Fest

There’s been no official reason given for The Grove Music Fest’s move from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Fort York Garrison Grounds, but the news has likely pleased Toronto fans who didn’t feel like making the trip. Additionally, ticket prices have dropped, possibly because Bob Mould, Pretty Lights and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are no longer on the bill. (The latter play one night earlier at Echo Beach.) Changes aside, the Arts & Crafts/Goldenvoice co-production still features a dynamite lineup that includes indie rock stars Phoenix, Hot Chip, Wavves and Palma Violets, mashup artist Girl Talk, punks the Gaslight Anthem, Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt, electro-pop Swedes Icona Pop and rising locals Young Empires and Nightbox.

Saturday (August 3), Fort York Garrison Common (250 Fork York), 11 am. $59.50-$99.50. RT, SS, TM. thegrovefest.com.
