Women DJs are taking over Toronto’s Flow 93-5 for International Women’s Day

Bambii is one of nine DJs spinning on Flow 93-5 for International Women's Day.

Looking for an International Women’s Day soundtrack? This afternoon (Monday, March 8), Toronto’s hip-hop radio station, Flow 93-5, is handing over the decks.

From 3 pm to 7 pm, nine women DJs will spin 30-minute mixes. It’s in support of Jessie’s Centre, a Toronto-based organization that provides services for young pregnant women, and young parents and families facing obstacles.

The Flow 93-5 event is called She Moves Us, a collaboration between Girl Connected (which aims to improve gender representation in Canadian music), DJ Charlie B and Puma.

The full day of DJs includes Toronto’s Jayemkayem, Killa Kels and the cover model of last year’s Sound of Toronto issue of NOW, Bambii.

You can tune in here via Flow 93-5. Here’s the full lineup:

Killa Kels – 3 pm

Bambii – 3:30 pm

DJ Steph Cakes – 4 pm

DJ Diamond Kuts – 4:30 pm

DJs Amira + Kayla – 5 pm
