Describe the process of creating a new piece. What materials do you normally work in?

I like to draw lots of things coming out of people, and making the body transform. That’s what I like about collage too, making unreal things real. I mostly screen print because it’s what I love to do.

What projects are you working on? What do you have coming up, any shows?

Me, Steph Davidson and Michael Deforge have a show that opens April 11 at Deleon White Gallery called “Neighbourhood Sacrifice.” It’s also the launch of a Newsprint zine that we’re producing that has drawings by us. Right now I’m just making some prints and working on some drawings for that, after that I will be putting together the 5th issue of Free Drawings, a free newspaper that I publish and distribute around the city.

When are you most productive?

At night.

When did creating art become something important in your life?

When I started screen printing a few years ago, being able to create multiples and share what I make with my friends is really important to me and it’s changed the way I think about art and what it’s worth.

What are you currently obsessed with? Any blogs, pod casts, films, artists?

My friend Steph has a good blog, where she posts funny pictures. I also listen to this radio show called art for spastics every week. Oh and fmylife.com, I really like that one.

Any last words?
