History, a sense of the hip, a headquarters for artists and anarchos - all of the above make this patch of green and trees the grabbiest in the city. There's no outdoor oven or communal meals like at Dufferin Grove, but how about those stately stone and iron gates left over from when Trinity College lived here or those Victorian-like lamp posts? Or the fact the old Garrison Creek gurgles below, trapped in a storm sewer. Home to the white squirrel, the park has blossoms in the spring, pop-up installation art whenever, drum circles and guitars in warm weather and en masse parties, not to mention a farmer's market. Plus, it's a key venue in the Queen West Art Crawl and Nuit Blanche.
