Wine ya waist at Caribana this weekend.
It's that time again - time to jump up to the music, colour and pomp of the Caribana parade along Lakeshore Saturday (August 2). The party starts at the Princes' Gates at 10 am and moves along Lakeshore to Sunnyside, ending at 6 pm. Expect big crowds, since about a million people take part. Free, ticketed seating available. caribanatoronto.com.
If you're grappling with what to do on a quiet Sunday (August 3), why not take it to the extreme and check out indy wrestlers from Ontario and the States? Of note: hardcore wrestling stars the Murder Junkies and Zach Gowen will fight. Stranglehold Pro Wrestling fittingly takes place in a brewery (Amsterdam, 21 Bathurst) from 3 to 7 pm. $20, adv $15. 416-603-8666.
