Big 3: Boost Anishnawbe health

1. BOOST ANISHNAWBE HEALTH

The Empty Bowls funder for Anishnawbe Health Toronto, the org committed to the well-being of aboriginal peoples in mind, body and spirit, feeds the soul in more ways than one. Tasty soups prepared from recipes by chefs like the Healthy Butcher’s Jonathan Abrahams, Food Dudes’ Adrian Niman and others are served up in bowls crafted and donated by potters and pottery schools. For $55, you can sip on the soup, take home the bowl and assist an essential community organization. 2. ADOPT A TREE IN REGENT PARK

Local Enhancement and Appreciation of Forests (LEAF) turns over a new leaf in Regent Park with the official launch of its adopt-a-tree program. Learn how to care for your own park tree and other hands-on forestry skills Saturday (October 17) at Regent Park North Recreation Centre (620 Dundas East). 10:30-11:30 am. Free. 3. METROLINX NEEDS ACCESSIBILITY HELP

Bugged by accessibility issues on transit? Provincial transit authority Metrolinx is looking for feedback from transit users with disabilities, including on its GO Transit services.
