1. SUPPORT SECOND HARVEST
The amount of food we waste – even if it winds up in our recycling bins – is appalling, and Second Harvest is doing something about it. Their mission is to rescue and deliver fresh surplus food to hungry people. This week’s unique food experience from U-Feast is A Wild Affair, a funder for the org offering a spectacular dinner prepared by chefs Michael Hunter (Antler Bar) and Geoff Webb and built around wild foods. 3. FUNK THE POLICE STATE
Only the power of funk can save us from the security state. ToMacco, MC Mohammed Ali and others headline a benefit concert supporting efforts to fight C-51, at the Central on Saturday (March 12), 9:30 pm.
