Well Alliance has unveiled a savvy plan to screen special prints of HAIRSPRAY so audiences can sing along. Usually these sing-a-long things happen years after a film has happened (Grease, The Sound Of Music).
But talk about not being able to Stop the Beat…

SING-ALONG HAIRSPRAY OPENS IN THEATRES STARTING THIS FRIDAY AUGUST 3RD IN SELECT CITIES
Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Distribution Inc. announced today that it will launch prints of HAIRSPRAY with subtitled lyrics to the popular musical in select cities this Friday, August 3rd. Lead by the on-screen lyrics, movie-goers will be encouraged to sing along with their favourite songs from the film. The special prints of the film will open at the following locations:
