Clash of the tightasses

Charles McVety is a professional blowhard, evangelical Christian, and social conservative activist. The president of Canada Christian College, whose own doctorate comes from a school with rather questionable accreditation, McVety is Ontario’s most prominent voice of the fundamentalist right.

Michael Coren is a professional reactionary and celebrity Catholic whose latest book is named Hatred: Islam’s War On Christianity. A Sun News host for most of the network’s lifespan, he was until recently one of the far right’s social conservative beacons. Correction (3/3/15, 11:30 pm): This post originally stated that Coren was a Sun News host for the network’s duration. In fact, he made his Sun debut roughly four months after the channel launched.
