Ontario is reporting 525 new cases of COVID-19 and 15 deaths on June 7, the lowest daily case count the province has seen since the end of September last year.

The province detected 663 new cases on Sunday, 744 cases on Saturday and 914 on Friday. The seven-day rolling average is now 735, down from 1,078 a week ago.

The province completed just 15,177 tests over the past 24 hours, marking a positivity rate of 3.6 per cent, still higher than positivity rates over the past five days but down from 4.3 per cent last Monday.

Ontario administered 116,829 additional doses of the vaccine over the past day, bringing the provincial total past the 10 million mark, with 10,109,404 total doses administered and 1,086,805 people fully vaccinated.

Of the deaths reported today, two were people between the ages of 40 and 59.
