Under-rehearsed on opening night, Michael Posner’s script about two Holocaust survivors who reunite after three decades stumbles its way through Talmudic teachings, clunky dialogue and its own smug sense of self-importance. The charismatic leads never connect emotionally because of the script’s lack of depth and the director’s hands-off approach.
