Diar DeRozan, daughter of Chicago Bulls shooting guard DeMar DeRozan, is going viral for her hilarious heckling at Wednesday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors.

The Bulls faced the Raps at Scotiabank Arena last night in a critical Eastern Conference play-in game.

DeMar, who formerly played for the Raptors for nine seasons, and the Bulls ultimately beat the Raps 109-105, ending Toronto’s season. And their win might have been with the help of DeMar’s nine-year-old daughter.

Throughout the game, Diar was heard yelling loud shrieks anytime one of the Raptors threw a free throw. The screaming was hard to miss for both fans in the centre and those watching the game from home.

At a media briefing after the game, DeMar said he heard his daughters’ screams and was glad that he let her skip school for the day to come out to the game.

“She said ‘Dad can I come to the Toronto game?’ I remember going to the Toronto games when she was a kid and I almost said no because she’s in school back home,” DeMar said. “She kept asking, she was just adamant about coming to support and I said alright you can miss one day of school and come to a game and I’m glad I did. I owe her some money for sure,” he added.

However, the Bulls will be without their biggest cheerleader at the next game as DeMar said “she gotta go back to school.”

Chicago faces the Heat in Miami on Friday in the second round of the play-in tournament.
