Contact launch The photography festival holds a launch party and reception at MOCCA for primary exhibit Public: Collective Identity | Occupied Spaces (a two-venue show about identity and the occupation of public space, also at U of T Art Centre) and Street View, a complementary exhibit from the National Gallery in MOCCA’s back room. Some of the photographers from Public give talks at MOCCA tomorrow afternoon. See listing.

Kill a Worker, Go to Jail Ontario Federation of Labour prez Sid Ryan and other notables speak, and hip-hop artist MC Mohammad Ali performs at this memorial for those killed on the job. The rally also seeks greater job safety regulations and more employer accountability. The focus this year is on the three workers killed in February’s terrible train accident. 12 noon.
