Enzo DiMatteo wins Urban Alliance on Race Relations Media Award

We are thrilled to announce that last Thursday (Sept. 18), senior news editor Enzo DiMatteo was awarded a Media Award from the Urban Alliance on Race Relations (UARR) for his work on anti-racism.

UARR identified two pieces in particular among DiMatteo’s body of work that embody his anti-racism efforts: Gaza Strip: a history of misery, which unpacks the challenges faced by Palestinians in Gaza and Ghosts of police shootings past haunt us still, in response to the shooting and killing of Sammy Yatim.

Other winners include Debbie Douglas and Lloyd McKell, who won Race Relations Awards, and Jim Rankin of the Toronto Star, who also won a Media Award.

Congratulations!
