I’m one of those Blue Jays fans that never gives up. If the team is within five games of the wild card spot at the first of September, there’s still hope. I’m like that terrific Henry Fonda character in On Golden Pond, who kept checking the baseball standings to see how his beloved, but inept, Detroit Tigers were doing. In those days they sucked. The Jays don’t.So why won’t RSN, the television network Rogers owns, make sure we see a telecast of games played by the team Rogers owns? I searched all last weekend for a telecast of the Saturday game and there was none to be found. If Rogers wants us to continue to keep the faith, then let us see the damn team. The so-called brains behind the team, J.P. Ricciardi, seems to have given up, himself. There can be no other reason that he would once again put that loser Russ Adams back on the field. It seems stunning to me that a player who has demonstrated a consistent inability to throw from short to first base should have his name pencilled into the line-up.Give up on him and stick with John McDonald, who’s Gold Glove material in my book.Go Jays!
