Happening NOW: September 22, 2010

What’s happening September 22, 2010:

Happy Car-Free Day everyone. Nope, not carefree day – that would be the first day there were no cars on the streets EVER. Car-free regulars, note that the Sierra Club events that traditionally went down at Yonge-Dundas Square are not at Queen’s Park Circle.

Trust me, this news is alarming. Well, you’ll trust anyone, so here goes: A Nanos poll found Rob Ford the most trusted and capable candidate running for mayor.

What is this, topsy-turvy land? Next thing I’ll find out teen idol Justin Bieber has taken up acting and has a run-in with the law in the season premiere of CSI. Oh.

Nothing is safe, these days. If you’re out there trusting people like Rob Ford you’ve probably already built a shelter (and tin hats) to hide out in if the “scorched earth” reality of an Iggy-led coalition government rolls around.

Lastly, Twitter broke for a bit the other day. Well, it was actually a worm whose movement created a fascinating epidemiological map.
