When NOW talked to John Cameron Mitchell about the indie flick Hedwig And The Angry Inch – which he wrote, directed and starred in – he’d just copped the audience and directing awards at Sundance (July 26, 2001, issue). The Broadway stage version took four Tonys last week, including best musical revival and best leading performer (Neil Patrick Harris). Mitchell was positively giddy during the festivities.
