In photos: Day of Action against Bill C-51

People gathered in cities across Canada for a Day of Action against the federal government’s proposed Bill C-51. Hundreds attended the rally at Nathan Phillips Square before marching toward Front Street. The so-called anti-terrorism bill would see increased powers granted to CSIS and the RCMP. Critics say that the bill, if passed, would be an infringement on Canadian’s civil liberties and right to privacy.
