Unassociated with Pride Toronto, the Night March has been a queer community event in response to the increasing corporate influence on Pride since 2012.
Last night, (June 22) the marched kicked off at George Hislop Park, marched down Church Street to Carlton, and then found its way to Yonge-Dundas Square.
Chants included “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re fabulous, don’t fuck with us!” “Let’s get critical our Pride is political,” “Fuck your corporations, we want liberation,” and “Stonewall was a riot, we need a revolution.”
