Parkdale’s Finest This festival of film, video, installation and performance by Parkdale-based artists, running through Sunday, today features outdoor events at Fuller Avenue Parkette: a participatory video collage (4 pm), screenings of works by local artists including Deirdre Logue and Geoffrey Pugen (9 pm) and young emerging filmmakers (10 pm). Canadian Forces members @ Afghanistan show Captain Ben Lee and some of his colleagues from the Canadian Forces tell stories from the front lines of the war in Afghanistan at the ROM’s show by two Magnum photographers: Larry Towell captures people caught in the conflict, and Donovan Wylie documents makeshift military architecture.
