For the phone addicts and Google fans amongst us, there are yet more "gPhone" rumours today. I'm not one to pass these along but this one is too tasty to pass up.
OpenMoko is an open source phone that has been gathering much steam over the last little while. They just sold out the entire developer production run of the phone much quicker than anticipated and have been getting great reviews. Unlike the iPhone, OpenMoko runs on Linux, the platform is completely open for developers to work with. Even the hardware is open with detailed info on how it works and easy to access contact points for hardware hackers to solder their own electronics on to the circuit.
I'll definitely be holding out on an iPhone in hopes that this rumour is true.
