New graffiti art at Bathurst and Queen

Earlier this week, Toronto street artist MEDIAH invited LA-based designer DRAST to leave their mark on the back of CB2 Furniture at Queen and Bathurst.

Both artists decided on one colour palette for their respective designs. They started mid-morning and were done by 4:30 pm.

MEDIAH and DRAST are both with CBS, Can’t Be Stopped, a respected internationally-known graffiti crew based in Los Angeles.

This was not a commercial gig, just tandem art making – they got permission from CB2.

DRAST is heavily-influenced by the hardcore music scenes and skateboarding culture of the 80’s and early 90’s

MEDIAH says his designs are inspired by futurist painters of the early 20th-century.

DRAST loosely bases his current fixations on fine arts, illustration, and graffiti art. He calls his work “the subconscious creations of a beautiful mess.”
