Toronto shows its pride

“It’s the Olympics. This is about being patriotic to your country, it’s not [about] sexual preference.” Rob Ford wraps himself in the Canadian flag while dissing the rainbow banner the city agreed to hoist above Nathan Phillips Square in support of gays in Russia. Ford wanted the flag taken down, apparently blind to the numerous Canuck flags already flying in the square, but failed to get the Pride flag removed. That authority rests with the chief of protocol, not the mayor.

Ford attack!
