I'm over 10 hours in to Chocobo Tales and enjoying very much. While I'm a little burned out on the mini-game-as-full-game premise, Chocobo Tales manages to keep me additively playing a game until I've cleared all the "secrets." It's not a difficult game, (though a couple minigames elude me still), but it's cute, it's Chocobo, and eminently portable.
CT is basically minigames, microgames, trading card game, and quasi-RPG all in one. It's a bit of a mishmash, and even with the very basic system, I think that those who've never played TCG's before will have a bit of a hurdle to get over.
I judge I'm about 60% complete, so give me another day or two and I can give you my full-take on this charming little tale.
