Ontario’s daily update on the number of new COVID-19 cases has surpassed more than 100 cases for the sixth time in the last seven days.
Ontario is reporting 115 cases today. But there were more than 5,000 fewer people tested compared to the previous day (28,656).
Intensive care unit admissions (41) and the number of patients placed on ventilators (6) continue to decline. Thirteen of the province’s 39 health units are reporting no cases at all, compared to 16 the previous day.
The number of cases among those 20-29 years of age has 6,891 is now more than double the number of cases among those over 80 (3,580), which had been the most affected group when the pandemic broke in March.
