A rabble-rousing Irish drag queen, a soulful club star and a deep house legend are among the acts to catch at this year’s Green Space Festival.
The four-night event kicks off on June 25 with a headlining performance by Panti Bliss, Ireland’s most famous drag queen. Active in the yes campaign for that country’s recent referendum legalizing same-sex civil marriage, she is stopping in Toronto en route to Dublin’s Pride festivities two days later.
The next night, New York house producer Sandy Rivera, best known under his Kings of Tomorrow guise and for the soulful club classic Finally, makes his Green Space debut at the One World party.
Two Chicago veterans, Kylie-esque electro singer Colette and DJ Heather lead the lineup for ladies-centric Lipstick Jungle on Saturday, and on Pride Sunday, Horse Meat Disco return to play alongside revered New Jersey deep house producer Kerri Chandler, who brings his addictive and distinctive bass lines to Green Space for the first time this year at the Disco Disco party.
