After being flushed out of YouTube for a couple of days, local comic Renée Percy and her comedy video Sure Lock: A True Poo Story are back on top. At last count, she had 1.8 million hits for her pee-your-pants-funny (and then some) look at a woman (Percy) leaving her new lover’s (David Ivkovic) apartment.
The vid was pulled for five days while YouTube decided if toilet humour had a place on their site.
Percy emailed me: “I ask you, isn’t toilet humour the basis of all comedy?! The lawyers have decided that ‘Non-sexually graphic dramatized urination or fecal matter is approved.’ Hurray for non-SG poo!”
Percy’s not one to shy away from raunchy, suggestive humour – she and her frequent performing partner Jen Radomsky scored a hit last Fringe with Mardi Bra 3: Milk’n It.
Here’s the controversial vid – a landmark case for freedom of poo-expression.
