if your high school prom felt more like a scene out of Carrie, there’s a better way to get over it than burning your old prom dress. The Corsage Project is looking for donations of prom dresses, accessories and beauty supplies for girls about to graduate from high school.

One of the coordinators, Jennifer Watson, says the prom can be “an important transition in a girl’s life,’ and all young women, regardless of their circumstances, should be able to experience it.

After all the sequins and chiffon are donated, girls who have been selected through the Children’s Aid Foundation and by guidance counsellors are formally invited to attend the “Boutique Ball” at the end of April.
