Hot Docs The documentary fest wraps up this weekend, so don’t miss screenings of docs that just received awards at the fest, like My Thai Bride and Tchoupitoulas (on Saturday), The World Before Her (Saturday and Sunday) and The Boxing Girls Of Kabul (Sunday).

Mining Injustice Conference Canadian mines have fanned out across the globe inflicting enviro damage and disturbing local communities. This two-day affair checks out the state of resistance to them, and features a roster of speakers including Salem State U prof, Avi Chomsky, Peruvian activist Ullses Garcia, Attawapiskat First Nation’s Jackie Hookimaw and more.
