Starfox redux redux redux

Currently playing Starfox: Command on the DS. Well, actually, I’m playing it again. For the fifth time. If you’ve ever played any of the Starfox series, this seems to be the most story-intensive one. With nine endings to unlock, replay value is high.

While the story itself is short, (I think I finished the first ending in a day), you end up with a choose-your-own-adventure unfolding with each new pass. It’s really quite engrossing to see the different pilot profiles and their character development.

I found the learning curve pretty high though. Even while playing a second and third time over, I found new things. It doesn’t help that I dislike reading manuals either. So here’s the quick tips I found: Bombs? Drag and drop onto the field. Spinning to deflect fire also gains you either +2 or +3 seconds to your timer depending on the pilot. Multi-lock is love. Love.

Need to try multi-player! I understand it’s pretty hard.

Loco Roco for PSP is next off my review pile.
