Thank you, Toronto

While many print publications suffer in these economic times, NOW Magazine remains stronger than ever as the #1 independent weekly in Toronto, according to Canada’s leading syndicated study for single-source data on print readership for 2009, released by Print Measurement Bureau (PMB).

Reaching 371,000 readers on a weekly basis, with the average copy attracting 3.5 readers, NOW has experienced an increase in both male (+20%) and female (+10%) readership, while the vast majority of print publications have experienced a decline.

“We’re thrilled to see NOW continue to grow significantly in yet another PMB survey,” comments NOW Editor/Publisher Michael Hollett. “Our success shows that newspapers and magazines – print – are still very much alive as long as you put a dynamic, essential product effectively in front of information-hungry readers.

“And we appreciate this vote of confidence the people of Toronto have given NOW Magazine.”

NOW Editor/CEO Alice Klein shares in the optimism: “Our growing numbers affirm that NOW is Toronto’s coolest ticket to navigating both the best of times and the worst of times, when quality and connection count for more than ever.”[rssbreak]
