The best events in Toronto this weekend: November 3-5

Arcade Fire

Every step of Arcade Fires rollout campaign for their fifth album, Everything Now from band-created fake news to eye-rolling dress codes at their release show has gained them the wrong kind of headlines. Thats why theyve (mostly) cast off their ill-fitting irony and smirking media critique in favour of re-emphasizing how they blew up from Montreal indie cult band into arena rockers in the first place: the music. Theyve been playing in the round for most of their Infinite Content tour, fostering a sense of yearning, big-room intimacy and connection like only they can. Bonus: local heroes Broken Social Scene open.
