Theatre heater

The temperature may dip to a sub-arctic minus 40, but that doesn’t deter the street vendors of Chinatown from making a buck. Here’s a woman I snapped this morning – or at least, I’m assuming that’s a female under all that clobber – selling cigarette lighters and phone cards in the middle of the sidewalk at Spadina and Dundas in front of the old Victory burlesque theatre in a makeshift see-thru shelter complete with unplugged electric heater.

And you thought your office was cold!
