These are the pencil cases Rob Ford deems insufficiently masculine

On Thursday afternoon, Rob Ford went on a back-to-school shopping trip with his two children, Stephanie and Dougie. He brought along seven staffers and invited the media to watch.

The National Post described his experience:

“You’re getting what you’re getting, you’re not helping me, sweetheart,” Mr. Ford called out to Stephanie, who yelled out “Purple!” when he asked what pencil case colour she wanted.

“I need one for Dougie,” Mr. Ford told a Staples employee. “This looks like all girlie stuff. Do you have any football or hockey?” They didn’t.

We were curious about these pencil cases that Rob Ford considered too effiminate for his 5-year-old son, so we paid a visit to the same Staples store to have a look.

Blue, orange, purple. Some hearts. Some vague psychedelia.

He’s right. Nothing manly.
