A number of war resisters living in Canada still face deportation despite the encouraging signal from the Trudeau government post-election last year that the cases brought against them by the Harper government would no longer be pursued. The Toronto police sting called Project Marie, set up six weeks ago in response to locals’ complaints about gay sex in Etobicoke’s Marie Curtis Park, is the focus of a community discussion hosted by Queers Crash the Beat at Glad Day Bookshop, 499 Church, on Tuesday (December 13), 7:30 pm.
