The best events in Toronto on Family Day weekend 2018

LIDO PIMIENTA

The Colombian-Canadian musician has been on a serious hot streak that doesn’t seem to want to stop burning. Still, it’s safe to assume this hot ticket two-nighter at the Drake is going to be your last chance to see Pimienta’s powerful firebrand live show for a while – she’s performing while pregnant and also has a follow-up album to her Polaris Prize-winning La Papessa to finish. If anyone can play through all that, it’s Pimienta, so you never know. At the very least, the next one won’t be at a venue this intimate. You can trust us on that.
