Three events give space to alternative values and aesthetics

The world of professional wrestling has traditionally been male-dominated, but Toronto’s League of Lady Wrestlers is trying to change that. Its inclusive events celebrate feminine identities and push back against oppressive cultural values and gender stereotypes. Celebrate Manifesto Festival of Community & Culture‘s 10th anniversary from Friday (September 9) to September 18. The multidisciplinary arts and music fest with a hip-hop focus spotlights diverse local artists and youth. All In Our Heads 3: Stories of Mental Illness. Shared. raises funds for mental-health non-profit Art With Impact, tackling the stigma surrounding mental illness through storytelling.
