What’s new in the 2016 NOW Readers’ Choice poll

NOW’s annual Readers’ Choice poll draws on the expertise of more than half a million readers who know Toronto inside and out. Each year, we ask you to submit your picks in a wide range of categories this year we have more than 180! If enough people agree with your picks, they could become finalists.

We’ve added a few new categories this year to better reflect how Toronto has evolved. Be sure to click through the full poll and have your say about who should be crowned the best in these new categories:

Being nominated is great, but winning your category means a lot. In 2015 alone, we received over 139,000 votes across 1,500-plus nominees. Receiving this kind of city-wide endorsement is a sign that you’re truly valued by your peers, fans or customers. The people who haven’t yet heard of you will know your name now.

Winners receive a plaque to proudly display their success. NOW also features them in print and online, sharing the news that you have been singled out for celebration.

The best way to help your nominees get the support they need to potentially become finalists is to spread the word using the #NOWReadersChoice hashtag. Tell your social networks who you’re supporting and encourage them to visit the site to have their voice heard, too! The more people that nominate
