The holidays aren’t just about spending time with your friends and loved ones – your pet most definitely wants to be included too. Your fur baby has been waiting all year to watch Love Actually with you – perhaps after you both return from a snowy walk around the neighbourhood.
But if there’s one human festivity they’ve always wanted to join, it’s the annual holiday photo.
Holiday photos aren’t just for humans– animals are perfectly capable of posing. Plus, your rescue mutt can pull off a festive hat better than you can, which is exactly why they need to be captured on camera.
A recent study showed that 54 per cent of millennials view themselves as “pet parents.” With more than half of the millennial population caring for a pet, it’s safe to assume that they want them included in their annual holiday traditions.
Pet owners know that the term “family” extends beyond humans as our dogs play an important part in their overall well-being, especially around the holidays. Unlike family members who come to visit during December, dogs never barrage you with questions about your future plans or odd taste in television shows.
Because pups are such a huge part of everyone’s household, Coors Light found a way that they could participate in more festive traditions than ever before. While there are many holiday events to celebrate throughout the season, taking that classic family photo to share with holiday cards is one of the most popular.
To help Torontonians and their dogs get a festive family photo in time for their annual yuletide greetings, Coors Light has created the Pup-arazzi Holiday Photoshoot. The pop-up photo studio is filled with holiday cheer and matching Coors Light onesies for both pups and humans. The Coors Light team will take care of all the details so you can relax and feel great about checking one task off of your holiday to-do list. To make things even easier, the pop-up studio will turn your special photo into a one-of-a-kind card that can be sent to your friends and family
Once the perfect picture has been captured with your dog grinning ear to ear, you’ll have the opportunity to email the file to yourself or send it to others. You can surprise your friends and family members with a personalized holiday message and photo that will surely make their hearts melt.
The Holiday Puparazzi Photoshoot will take place on December 15 and 16. Slots will be booked every half hour between 11 am and 8 pm, with 20 minutes dedicated to capturing a fridge-worthy image. The remaining ten minutes will be used to clean and sanitize the area, ensuring the safety of other human and nonhuman guests.
Torontonians looking to snag one of the limited spots can sign up for the festive family photo here.
Reservations will be open from December 1 to 12 at 11:59 pm. Hopeful photoshoot attendees can sign up for the slot of their choosing and will be added to a waitlist, compiled in a first-come, first-served order.
After you’ve signed up, be on the lookout for an email from Coors Light on December 13. The beverage company will be reaching out to those who have been granted the reservation with day-of details so you’re ready for your close-up.
For those who have yet to attend a photoshoot with their doggo, consider bringing one of their favourite toys for the photographer to squeak. This will keep your dog happy, alert and looking directly into the camera.
If your pet prefers to avoid photos in general, you can make them feel more comfortable by placing them on your lap or getting down to their level. Practising your poses with your dog beforehand, in front of a camera, will also make the both of you feel more confident on the big day.
The holiday season can be hectic but the Pup-arazzi Holiday Photoshoot will remind you of what’s really important – family, festive cheer and a killer photo that can be posted to your Instagram. Visit coorslight.com/puparazzi for a chance to take your own festive family photo.>
