Yogis the city over descended upon the Distillery District Sunday to greet the summer solstice and to celebrate the International Yoga Day with a day of meditation and yoga.
Hundreds attended the third annual Om T.O. that allowed people of every skill level to participate in any or all of the eight free yoga classes offered throughout the day by some of Torontos best-known yoga studios.
Presented by Tonic Magazine, whether one attended to work on their happy baby, warrior or cobra pose or just to enjoy some of the booths offering coconut water and the like, the event transformed the cobblestoned heritage site into Torontos very own Ashram at least until the event concluded at 5 pm.
