I have a confession: I still haven’t watched the two-hour season finale of my favourite show – that would be the Jack Bauer Power Hour (aka 24). The season ended, what, months ago? But those finale ticks on the digital clock still have yet to play out for me.
The reason: fatigue. Jack and his CTU cronies were starting to tire me out to the point I became a little bored.
But now that Kiefer’s facing jail time for a DUI – nothing like a little scandal to spark interest – I’ve been thinking about firing up my player and watching how things unfolded. An even bigger motivation is the UK trailer for the upcoming season 7.
Everyone involved in the show admits that last year wasn’t the show’s best and the trailer shows they seem pretty intent on shaking up the formula. Jack testifying before the Senate? No more CTU (No worrries, Chloe and Bill Buchanan are still around)? And the return of womebody everyone thought was dead (except me, actually, cuz I kept asking what the hell happened to that character because we never saw a body).
