Just when you thought Toronto's public spaces couldn't get any less public, the ROM pulls out its jack again. The adult rate is now a whopping $22. The toonie increase also applies to seniors and students, who now pay $17. The 4-to-14-year-old crowd will cough up $15. The ROM, naturally, stands by the price of mummy viewing. Says rep Renee Tratch, "We really feel that the ROM offers excellent value for our visitors." Well, not better than the British Museum (free), New York's Museum of Natural History ($15), MoMA ($20, free Fridays 4-8 pm) and the Louvre ($14.50), to name a few biggies.
