Liberal hacks were quick to jump on NOW last week for suggesting that provincial leader Dalton McGuinty has been two-faced on private school funding. OK, two-faced is a little harsh. We just think he’s spineless when it comes to preserving public classrooms. Given that a number of his senior caucus members agree with the Tory tax credit, if the Grits actually win the next election we predict McGuinty will pull the plug on tax credits for chi-chi academic schools like Upper Canada College, but parents who send their kids to religious schools will still get a generous write-off. Sorry, D. You’re still “Tory light.”
