The health care reform debate has become such a polarizing issue, some protesters are turning to musical theatre.
In the vein of Improv Everywhere, an American grassroots group called Billionaires for Wealth Care suddenly starting singing during a meeting with insurance companies and lobby group AHIP in Washington. Supposedly, this meeting wanted to teach insurance companies about the evils of ObamaCare.
This singing flashmob didn't want to wait for the speeches.
In the YouTube video already attracting attention, you can see how one woman begins belting out some timely lyrics to the tune of Tomorrow from Annie: "No, thank you, for killing the public option and blocking any hopes of its adoption!" Then another man stands up to sing, "Sure, what about competition? It's an old American tradition. Or so I've heard?"
As expected, the players of Public Option Annie get escorted out by security, but not before the cameraman asks one of the meeting's attendees what he thought of the guerilla musical: "Yeah, it sounded very good."
