Wavelength 545 The second two parts of Wavelength’s two-day-three-show mini festival Summer Solstice Triptych continue tonight. Part B starts at 7 pm, and features the Amsterdam/Toronto punk jazz trio Han Bennink, Terrie Ex, and Brodie West, with Cairo/Montreal duo Detention opening. Part C starts at 11 pm, and is a co-presentation with Burn Down The Capital! (get there early enough to catch Coca-Cola, the collaboration between Slim Twig and US Girls).

Ragnar Kjartansson Chill out with the Icelandic artist’s five-channel video The End (made with the support of the Banff Centre for the Icelandic pavilion at the last Venice Biennale), in which Kjartansson, whose work explores humorous and extreme aspects of musical performance, and collaborator Thor Jonsson dress up as mountain men to play old-timey music in the frozen landscape of the Canadian Rockies.
