It’s been almost a year since Barack Obama, Nicolas Sarkozy, 18 other world leaders, hundreds of international delegates and an army of police officers took over Toronto. After the summit, there was a lot to be angry about – police brutality, sweeping violations of civil liberties, governmental deceit, cost (way) overruns and much more.
All these months later, though, does anyone still care?
A G20 public inquiry rally held over the weekend boasted tons of support on Facebook, but turned out to be very, very small. Most people walked by the group, who were handing out informational flyers, sadly oblivious to the cause.
